Job Summary:

This position is responsible to ensure the smooth working and maintenance of facility supplies and equipment and the job holder is required to be registered as BO Chargeman of the plants as per compliance by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST).

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for the smooth and safe operation of facility equipment, mechanical and electrical systems, DI water plant, wastewater treatment plant, instrumentation and control system.

· To ensure all electrical systems and CDA are in good condition to support production.

· Monitor and log operations for the above equipment/instrument.

· Handle routine checking of support equipment such as vacuum pumps, water storage tanks, close circuit coolers, cooling towers and fume scrubbers.

· Ensure equipment runs according to standard operating instructions and procedures.

· Carry out assigned maintenance jobs as well as ad hoc jobs as per requisition.

· Communicate and feedback to immediate superior on issues and concerns for corrective actions.

· Quality accountability :

i) Detect & stop the machine when encountered.

ii) Abnormalities during setup/troubleshooting.

iii) Compliance to spec.

iv) Carry out critical part checking.

v) Buy off machine and product quality after machine setup/troubleshooting.

vi) Escalate encountered critical defects for recapturing.

· Support internal and external audit readiness and compliance.

· Any other duties assigned by immediate superior and management from time to time.

Requirements:

· MUST possess minimum BO Chargeman 11KV / 33KV Certification from Suruhanjaya Tenaga.

· Possess at least a Degree or Technical Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualifications.

· Strong technical background with hands-on experience in equipment maintenance or troubleshooting.

· Proven track record in structuring and leading problem-solving and improvement activities.

· Independent and aggressive with excellent supervisory, interpersonal and communication skills.

· Willing to work odd and extra hours to support organization function if required.

· Able to work independently and possess a high sense of responsibilities
