Job Summary:

The incumbent is accountable for supervising a team of Line Leaders and/or Production Assistants to achieve objectives such as quality, yield, productivity and cycle time.

Job Responsibilities:-

Supervise, train and motivate a team of Line Leaders and/or Production Assistants to achieve daily objectives such as quality, yield, productivity and cycle time.
Communicate changes in processes and procedures directly to the team and monitor to ensure compliance.
Ensure discipline and safety procedures are enforced in the work areas.
Ensure smooth changeover of shift by providing and receiving feedback on production issues from the other supervisors. Provide timely feedback to immediate superiors on production activities.
Overall Person-In-Charge of the line. Take initiative and work with relevant parties to ensure equipment are always in production mode.
Escalate if the equipment is to be used for other purposes than production.
The quality issue, need to initiate a re-capture of lots.
Manpower planning to meet shift performance/target/manpower deployment for the critical process.
Review WIP report to meet cycle time (CT) / on-time delivery.
Material planning/inventory management
5s implementation and enforcement
Enforce compliance to standard operating procedure and procedure (out-of-control action plan)
Work closely with support groups on production matters.
Prepare neat and accurate reports on output.

People management:-
Lead a group of people in daily briefing sessions (DBS).
Prepare shift performance reports and updates.
Line Leader and/or Production Assistant welfare and grievances are heard and attended to accordingly (always seek a win-win solution)
Require to handle the disciplinary issues (minor misconduct) of the production team. Issuance of a warning letter / Corrective Action Notice (CAN) when deem necessary and require to submit to HR within 14 days.
Require to handle the disciplinary issue (major misconduct) of the production team. You are required to raise Incident Report on major misconduct to HR for further action and submit it to HR within 14 days.
Coordinate cross-training for operators and ensure proper usage of materials.

Quality Accountability :
enforce compliance with standard operating procedures and specifications.
verify and recapture abnormalities/defects.
address or escalate subordinate feedback.
execute, monitor, track and follow up changes/quality performance.
communicate the quality alert to operators/technicians/quality assurance and pass information to other shifts.
Any other duties assigned by immediate superior.
Job Requirements:

Diploma in Electrical and Engineering and preferably with supervisory experience.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Knowledge of using computers and/or smart devices
Good communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia
